Job Description:
Our Ottawa based client is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Specialist for a permanent position.

All candidates must possess Enhanced Clearance; bilingualism is as asset.

Job Description:
• Develops and maintains a deep understanding of the existing desktop infrastructure (images, base apps, niche apps, email, file and print).
• Understands the desktop lifecycle and all Innovapost EUC customer service agreements.
• Develops and maintains knowledge of customer’s business environment.
• Provides deep PC hardware and software expertise.
• Provides a good understanding of EUC operational functions, technical guidance to Innovapost’s support teams and general assistance to other team members.
• Identifies and corrects multi-platform hardware and software issues.
• Provides input to technology standards, EUC support/operational functions, incident tracking, support procedures, and general technical troubleshooting.
• Communicates standards to customers.
• Applies knowledge of emerging industry trends in the EUC space to work with the Senior Desktop Operations Architect/Infrastructure Specialist to deliver the annual technology plan(s) and recommendations for future client direction.
• Leads IS/IT in the planning, development and delivery of EUC infrastructure projects including technology upgrades.
• Has a strong understanding of EUC related projects which are in flight and helps to ensure that they don’t conflict with each other or with the services which are already in place.
• Provides efficient and effective customer service.
• Provides cross team support for many job responsibilities.
• Provides regular status reports to the Senior Desktop Operations Architect/Infrastructure Specialist.

  • experience with Windows XP, MS Office 2003/07, TCP/IP, Windows 7, Desktop Virtualization, Desktop Management Tools, Technical Project Management. Nice to have: Application Virtualization
